Garrisons 2nd Birthday!!

Garrison turns 2 today! We are having an Elmo party for him, everything is wrapped in Elmo paper and we have all the plates and decorations and a cookie monster/Elmo cake.

I can't believe how fast my little guy has grown up! He is an amazing child. He is seriously just awesome, so smart and for the most part obedient =) He can almost count to ten, depends on what he is doing. He counts for lots of things. Sometimes when he wants to take a bite out of food he will say, "1...2....3...bite!!!! Other times he will start with 4 and count to 10. Sometimes he misses 7 and 9. He knows his alphabet all uppercase. I have tried working with him on the lower case, he knows a few but I think he wonders why there are 2 a's =) He also knows his colors, red, green, blue, orange, yellow. One day he sat down at the piano started playing and was saying the alphabet at the same time. Then he started counting. One day during a prayer he said a whole sentence on his own. "Please bless me to sleep well." Dallin and I were shocked!!! He only did it once but we just keep expecting him to do it again. =) I love this boy with all my heart. He is so creative and loves to spend time with his family. He loves looking out the window in his room and watching the birds and animals and just loves to watch what is going on. He will stay in his bed until we come and get him out, which is amazing. I am so grateful for him and I am excited to see what he keeps learning, discovering and teaching us. Happy 2nd Birthday Garrison!

I had a fun and interesting time making his cake. I cant believe the craziness parents put them selves through for only a few mins of glory before the cake is eaten!

It was so nice to go swimming. Brent and JoAnne let us have the party at their house. Garrison loved it, they have a swing, pool and sandbox! It was the perfect place, Garrison had so much fun! Being 9  months pregnant, swimming felt amazing! I didn't want to get out!

 Garrison LOVES corn!

This is Garrisons "CHEESE" face. He just has a hard time remembering to look at the camera.

We had to make him focus on opening his presents,it was hard because he wanted to play with the sandbox. So I had Dallin start to open them and then Garrison finished. Looking back on the whole situation, we should just have let him play in the sandbox and finished opening toys later, also I need to remember that he doesn't really care about gifts right now so that means he doesn't really need very many!
